The Prospect Valley Road Bridge replacement project will begin this Spring.

Beginning Monday, March 24, 2025 the contractor will mobilize for a week to remove trees and install silt fence.

In early May, the on-site detour route and temporary bridge is anticipated to begin installation.

Road access to homes beyond the bridge will remain uninterrupted during all phases of the project.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Collector of Taxes for the Town of Candor, County of Tioga, and State of New York, have received the Tax Roll and Warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Candor for the year 2025. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that taxes may be paid on or before January 31, 2025 without interest. Taxes received after such date, will incur interest. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that pursuant to the provisions of the law, the Tax Roll of the Town of Candor will be returned to the Tioga County Treasurer after June 2, 2025.

REMINDER: The parking of motor vehicles is hereby prohibited on all Town streets and highways between the hours of 12:00 A.M. and 8:00 A.M. from November 15th of each year to and including March 15th of the following year. Any vehicle parked or abandoned on any street or highway within the Town in violation of this Local law or during a snowstorm which is found unattended in such a location that it constitutes an obstruction to traffic, may be removed by order and under the direction of the Superintendent of Highways or any other officer or agent of the Town of Candor.
