LOCAL LAW NO. 2 of 1984 OF THE TOWN OF CANDOR, NEW YORK

GAMES OF CHANCE LAW FOR THE TOWN OF CANDOR

1. Statutory authority; title.
   
   
This Local Law is enacted pursuant to the authority of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York and shall be known as the "Games of Chance Law of the Town of Candor."


2. Definitions.
   
   
The words and terms used in this Local Law shall have the same rreanings as such words and terms are used in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, unless otherwise provided herein or unless the context requires a different meaning. Specifically, the term "town" means the Town of Candor and "Officer" means the Tioga County Sheriff.


3. Authorization and restrictions.
   
   
   1. Games of chance may be conducted in the Town by an authorized organization after obtaining a license therefor in accordance with the provisions, requirerrents and limitations of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, the rules and regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board and this Ordinance.
      
      
   2. The conduct of games of chance on Sundays is authorized, except as otherwise provided in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law.
